Lorraine Barrett AM shows support for Royal British Legion

Lorraine Barrett, AM for Cardiff South and Penarth expressed her support for the work of the Royal British Legion at an event at the National Assembly recently.

The Legion is aware that some people have to wait up to five years simply to get an occupational therapist’s report to approve much needed work - this is despite help with assessments being made available from the charity.
“I was disturbed to hear of the long delays disabled people are facing in getting help with adapting their homes” said Lorraine Barrett AM today.
“I shall be writing to my local authority to find out what the situation is for my constituents, particularly with respect to funding and delays in Occupational Therapy assessments.”
