Older People’s Commissioner LOGO COMPETITION
posted on 05/06/2008
Lorraine Barrett AM is asking local people to put on their thinking and creative caps to come up with a logo and strap line for The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales. The Commissioner has launched a competition to design the logo and strap line.
This is the first time ever that a Government, anywhere in the world, has created a role to work specifically with older people. As a brand new organisation, the Older People’s Commissioner needs a logo and strap line that will be immediately identified by people in Wales.
The competition is being launched in conjunction with the University of the 3rd Age, Age Alliance, Gwanwyn and Mature Times.
Both the logo and strap line need to have clear, positive and bilingual messages in keeping with the development of the Older People’s Commission strategy.
The commission is looking for a logo and a strap line in keeping with the following messages:
• Promote awareness of the interests of older people in Wales and of the need to safeguard those interests
• Encourage best practice in the treatment of older people in Wales
• Keep under review the adequacy and effectiveness of law affecting the interests of older people in Wales
Entries should be submitted in the ARIAL font and in a minimum font size of 14.
Competitors may compete in both LOGO and STRAPLINE or individually for the LOGO or STRAPLINE.
The competition is open to ALL ages.
